John Calipari is calling it “The Kentucky Effect.” In short, Calipari is saying that if you come to Kentucky, there is a great chance you’ll land in the NBA.

Whatever it really is, Calipari seems to have a point. With nine draft picks over the last two years, UK now has 17 players in the NBA.

– Nazr Mohammed — Oklahoma City Thunder*- Jamaal Magloire — Miami Heat*- Tayshaun Prince — Detroit Pistons*- Keith Bogans — Chicago Bulls- Chuck Hayes — Houston Rockets*- Rajon Rondo — Boston Celtics- Kelenna Azubuike — Free Agent*- Jodie Meeks — Philadelphia 76ers- John Wall — Washington Wizards- DeMarcus Cousins — Sacramento Kings- Eric Bledsoe — Los Angeles Clippers- Patrick Patterson — Houston Rockets- Daniel Orton — Orlando Magic- Enes Kanter — Utah Jazz- Brandon Knight — Detroit Pistons- Josh Harrellson — New York Knicks- DeAndre Liggins — Orlando Magic* Mohammed, Magloire, Prince and Hayes are unrestricted free agents this offseason. Azuibuike was waived by the Knicks on Feb. 28 after missing the entire season due to an injury.
