LEXINGTON, Ky. — Coming off a 4-2 win over Cincinnati on Tuesday night, the Kentucky baseball team will return to action in its final midweek game before traveling to Alabama for a three-game Southeastern Conference series, hosting Canisius on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. ET at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
Kentucky (13-8, 2-1 Southeastern Conference) posted a 4-2 win on Tuesday, riding a strong starting-pitching performance from freshman southpaw Corey Littrell and an outstanding relief effort from junior Braden Kapteyn, who struck out the side in the ninth for his second save of the year. UK was also boosted in a 12-hit attack by three hits each from catcher Michael Williams and freshman J.T. Riddle, the reigning SEC Freshman of the Week.
The game will be broadcast live on the Big Blue Sports Network (radio), with the Voice of UK Baseball, Neil Price, calling the action. Fans in Lexington can hear the game live on WLAP 630-AM and online at UKathletics.com.
