LEXINGTON, Ky. – Fresh off an impressive week of play where it defeated two top-40 ranked opponents in No. 21 Notre Dame and No. 37 Alabama, the University of Kentucky men’s tennis team will wrap up a seven-match home stand with No. 43 Maryland and Eastern Kentucky at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex on Tuesday.

Kentucky (16-5, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) will face off against Maryland at 12 p.m. ET in the first match of the day before battling in-state foe Eastern Kentucky in the second match at 7 p.m. ET. Live scores will be available for both matches at UKathletics.com, while a live blog will be available at for the Maryland match.

The Wildcats have played brilliant tennis at home this season, posting an 11-2 record, including a 39-8 mark since the start of the 2009 season. Kentucky has been unbeatable at home in non-conference matches with a 23-0 record the past two years, including a 10-0 mark this season.

UK has been led this season by junior No. 4 Eric Quigley, who has been ranked in the top five in the nation since the rankings were released in early January. Three other Wildcats are ranked in singles in junior No. 47 Alex Musialek, sophomore No. 77 Anthony Rossi and senior No. 117 Alberto Gonzalez. Kentucky also has two ranked doubles tandems in No. 41 Gonzalez and freshman Tom Jomby and No. 48 senior Brad Cox and Quigley.

The Terrapins have been led this year in singles by Maros Horny, who is ranked 75th in the nation in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. Maryland’s doubles duo of Tommy Laine and John Collins are ranked 70th in the nation.

Eastern Kentucky does not have a ranked singles player or doubles team this season.
