LEXINGTON, KY – After posting two wins in the second and third rounds of the NCAA Tournament, the Wildcats make their 22nd appearance in the NCAA Sweet 16 taking on the top-seed Ohio State Buckeyes on Friday at 9:45 p.m. ET televised on CBS.

The Wildcats earned a berth in the regional semifinals with a 71-63 win over West Virginia in the third round in Tampa, Fla.

Led by a career-high 30 points from Brandon Knight and Terrence Jones’ 12th double-double the season, the Wildcats exacted some revenge on the Mountaineers for bouncing them in last year’s Elite Eight.

Knight’s 30-point outburst was a UK freshman record in NCAA Tournament games and Josh Harrellson had another solid outing with 15 points and eight rebounds after posting his seventh double-double against Princeton in Kentucky’s second round win over the Tigers.

Kentucky is 10-8 all-time against Ohio State, but 0-5 in NCAA Tournament games.
