LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky women’s tennis team will look to earn its second win in the Southeastern Conference on Sunday when it continues its six-match road swing against No. 11 Georgia in Athens, Ga., at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex at 1 p.m. ET.

The Wildcats (3-9, 1-2 SEC) enter Sunday’s match coming off a 6-1 road loss to No. 21 Tennessee. Despite the loss, freshman Khristina Blajkevitch earned her second consecutive victory in singles play with a thrilling 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (12-10) victory. Blajkevitch has won four of her last six singles matches.

Sophomore Jessica Stiles and freshman Caitlin McGraw have led Kentucky in the spring with six wins in singles play. Stiles has played predominantly at the No. 2 position and McGraw has played the majority of her matches at No. 3. Kentucky’s No. 1 singles, senior Megan Broderick, has five singles victories on the season. Broderick and Blajkevitch have paired together at No. 1 doubles to lead the Cats with three doubles victories.

Georgia enters the match following a 6-1 victory in its home opener on Friday against No. 8 Vanderbilt. The win moved the Bulldogs to 7-1 this season, and 3-0 in conference play. The Bulldogs are currently riding a five-match winning streak.

Georgia freshman Maho Kowase leads the Bulldogs in singles with a 22-6 record. Kowase is ranked No. 78 in singles. Chelsey Gullickson and Kate Fuller have paired together in doubles for Georgia to post a 7-1 overall record, and a 6-1 mark at No. 1 doubles. Gullickson and Fuller check in at No. 25 in the latest women’s doubles rankings.

Kentucky is 11-27 all-time against Georgia and has dropped its last four against the Bulldogs.
