LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky women’s tennis team is back to the courts for its second match of the young Southeastern Conference season. The Wildcats will welcome Mississippi State to the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex on Sunday for a conference showdown as both teams will be looking to land their first conference win.
Kentucky (2-8, 0-1 SEC) will look to senior Megan Broderick, sophomore Jessica Stiles and freshman Caitlin McGraw in singles play. The trio has led the Wildcats throughout the year, with 15 singles victories combined in dual match play.
The Wildcats and Lady Bulldogs will each enter Sunday’s match coming off losses. Mississippi State (2-5, 0-1 SEC) is coming off a 7-0 loss on Friday at No. 10 Vanderbilt. Mississippi State, like Kentucky, has played just one conference match. The Lady Bulldogs topped Kentucky last year in Starkville, Miss., by a 5-2 count.
Parking in garage No. 7 will be free on Sunday and each weekend throughout the season. Live results for Sunday’s match will be available at UKathletics.com.
