LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams finished day two of their last chance meet in Knoxville, Tenn., Saturday.

Senior Reinhardt Strijdom improved upon his season best time in the men’s 200 freestyle of 1:39.08 with an NCAA (B) provisional time of 1:37.82.

Freshman Diana Norkus continued her record setting streak by swimming a 55.29 in the women’s 100 butterfly. For the fourth straight meet Norkus improved her time in either the 100 or 200 fly. Norkus’ time of 55.29 is the eighth fastest in program history.

Freshman William Heidler swam a 50.21 in the men’s 100 backstroke Saturday, breaking his previous career best time of 51.31.

The Kentucky men’s squad has one more last chance meet Saturday in Columbus, Ohio. That will be the final meet of the regular season for the Cats. Diving Zones will run from March 10-12, followed by the women’s NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas from March 17-19, and the men’s NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn., from March 24-26.
