UK Hoops: The UK women’s basketball team dropped to No. 19 in both major polls this week after going 1-2 last week against Tennessee, South Carolina and LSU. UK does seem to be holding steady in its seeding for the NCAA Tournament, though, as the Cats are listed as a No. 5 seed in Charlie Creme’s Bracketology projections.

Softball: Following a 4-1 weekend at the FIU Combat Classic in Miami, the UK softball team cracked the ESPN/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 this week at No. 24. Kentucky is just outside the other major poll, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll. UK is picking up 30 receiving votes and sits in 26th.

Men’s tennis: With an 8-2 start to the season, including victories over top-50 opponents Wake Forest, Indiana, Boise State and Miami (Fla.), UK men’s tennis ranks 13th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. Three Wildcats, junior Eric Quigley (No. 3), junior Alex Musialek (No. 3) and sophomore Anthony Rossi (No. 79), are ranked in the ITA top 100.
