LEXINGTON, Ky. – The UK women’s soccer team posted its highest team semester grade point average in program history, with a 3.419 GPA in the 2010 fall season.
“A huge thank you to (academic advisor) Mike Haley for his tremendous guidance and expertise he shares with all of our student-athletes on a daily basis,” UK head coach Jon Lipsitz said. “I am so proud of the progress we are making as a program in the classroom, on the field, and in the community. We will keep striving to be our best every day and use the upcoming spring development period to keep growing as a team.”
“This team has established very high academic standards as a team and individuals,” said Haley. “Not one student gave less than their best last semester.”
The Wildcats showed drastic improvement in the second year of the Jon Lipsitz era. . In addition to a return to the SEC Tournament, Kentucky saw its overall win total improve by five and their SEC wins jump by three.
