Kentucky-Indiana Postgame Notes

Kentucky is 7-2 this season while Indiana is now 7-2.
UK leads the series with Indiana, 31-23, including a 10-3 mark in Lexington.
UK has won three straight in the series, nine of the last 11, and 14 of the last 17.
UK is 94-56 all-time against the current alignment of the Big Ten Conference.
After a week off for final examinations, the Wildcats return to action Saturday, Dec. 18, at home vs. Mississippi Valley State. The game tips off at 8 p.m. and will be televised by Comcast Sports Southeast.

Kentucky has used the starting lineup of Brandon Knight, Darius Miller, DeAndre Liggins, Terrence Jones and Josh Harrellson in every game this season.
Terrence Jones got the Wildcats on the board on the first possession with a basket and free throw at the 19:43 mark.
Doron Lamb was UK’s first substitute, the seventh time this season he has been the first man off the bench.
Trailing 9-6, Indiana went on a 7-0 run for a 13-9 lead. UK missed 13 straight shots before DeAndre Liggins followed up his own miss at 11:38.
Liggins’ bucket sparked a 7-0 spurt that put Kentucky back on top 16-13.
Kentucky held on the rest of the way and led at halftime, 32-31.

Indiana immediately jumped in the lead on the first possession of the second half on a pair of foul shots by Christian Watford.
That started to a dandy 10 minutes of action that featured six ties and 10 lead changes.
Watford’s three-pointer with 9:42 on the clock gave Indiana its last lead at 57-56. Indiana did not make another field goal until 38 seconds remained.
UK finished the last eight minutes of the game with a 25-5 run, giving the final score of 81-62.

Kentucky outrebounded Indiana 45-33. The Wildcats are 7-0 this season when winning the battle of the boards.
The rebounding also helped UK have a 21-4 advantage in second-chance points.
Kentucky had six turnovers, the fewest since Feb. 19, 2002, when the Wildcats had just six miscues vs. Tennessee.
Kentucky is 21-0 at Rupp Arena under Coach John Calipari.
Kentucky has made at least one three-point shot in 758 consecutive games.

DeAndre Liggins set career highs with 19 points and nine rebounds.
- Eight of 16 foul shots also a career best.
Josh Harrellson had 14 points and 12 rebounds
- Second double-double of the season, third of his career.
- Got his first foul shots of the season and made all four tries.
- Had back-to-back dunks in the first half, his first stuffs of the season.
- Has at least four offensive rebounds in four-consecutive games.
Brandon Knight
had 18 points and led the Wildcats with four assists.
- He set career highs with 10-of-10 free throws.
- This marked the 31st time in Kentucky history that a Wildcat hit at least 10-of-10 at the foul line.
- Has scored in double figures and hit a three-pointer in eight of nine games this season.
Hounded by foul trouble and double teams much of the evening,
Terrence Jones still managed 10 points, eight rebounds, three steals, two blocked shots and an assist.
Doron Lamb
made a pair of three-pointers. It’s the sixth time in nine games that he’s had multiple threes in a game.
