UK improves to 6-1 while Tennessee Tech falls to 5-3 this season.
The Cats lead the overall series 8-6* although the schools disagree on the Jan. 22, 1975 matchup in Lexington. Tech claims a 98-58 win while Kentucky claims a forfeit win.
This was the first meeting with Tennessee Tech since 1989 and the first matchup in Lexington since 1987.
Kentucky is 80-16 all-time and 2-0 this season against teams from the Ohio Valley Conference. The Cats defeated Morehead State in the season opener, 82-48.
UK Hoops extends its home winning streak to 21 games while notching its 17th consecutive home victory against a nonconference opponent. The 21-game win streak is the school’s second-highest home winning streak and the nation’s eighth longest.
UK is improves to 330-138 in Memorial Coliseum, including a 40-10 mark under Coach Matthew Mitchell.

Kentucky started with the lineup of A’dia Mathies, Victoria Dunlap, Maegan Conwright, Samantha Drake and Kastine Evans for the first time this season. This is the fifth different lineup this season. The only mainstay is Mathies.
Kentucky began the game on a 16-3 run that spanned 5:21 with Dunlap leading the way with 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field and 3-of-4 from the foul line.
Tennessee Tech responded going on a 12-0 run over the last 4:37 of the first half to cut it to six, the smallest Kentucky lead in the game.
The Cats tied a season-high in assists with 17, including 10 in the first half after just four total against Louisville on Sunday.
UK took a 39-31 advantage at the half and never trailed in the game.
Matthew Mitchell is now 56-8 when leading at the half.
Kentucky forced 29 Tennessee Tech turnovers, marking the 55th consecutive game UK has forced its opponent into double-digit turnovers, dating back to the 2008-09 season. The Cats have forced 24 or more turnovers in five of seven games this season.
UK scored 29 points off Tennessee Tech’s 29 turnovers. UK has scored 20 or more points off turnovers in six of seven games this season.
UK swiped 16 steals. The Cats have swiped double-digit steals in 14 of the last 16 games.
Kentucky has started a freshman in 76 of 108 games during the Matthew Mitchell era, including 44 consecutive.
UK extended its streak of consecutive games with a three-pointer to 229, dating back to the 2003-04 season.

Senior forward Victoria Dunlap scored 30 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the field and made her first three-pointer of the season.
- Her 18 points in the first half were the most by a Wildcat since she put up 18 points in the opening frame against Oklahoma, Mar. 30, 2010, in the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight.
- Pulled down nine rebounds to move past Leslie Nichols (877 rebounds from 1982-86) and take sole possession at No. 3 on UK’s career rebounding list (882).
- With 30 points, it marked her 22nd game with 20 or more points, including her second this season.
- Third career game with 30 or more points.
- Swiped five steals to move past Christina Jansen (229 from 1992-96) for sixth place on UK’s career list (230).
- Charted a season-high tying four blocks. She also had four against Morehead State in the season opener.
Sophomore A’dia Mathies put together her second career double-double with 17 points and a career-high tying 10 rebounds.
Freshman Kastine Evans made the first career start.
Junior Keyla Snowden totaled six points on 2-of-5 shooting while going a perfect 2-for-2 from behind the three-point line. She has made at least one three-pointer in 16 consecutive games, dating back to last season.
Freshman Jennifer O’Neil scored her first career points at Memorial Coliseum on a layup with 1:42 remaining in the game. She ended the night with two points on 1-of-2 shooting and dished out a career-high three assists.
