BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — After a dramatic, come-from-behind win over Marshall in the Conference USA opener, the Kentucky men’s soccer team continues league play on the road, traveling to face UAB on Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET at West Campus Field.

Kentucky (4-5-1, 1-0 C-USA) fell behind after an own goal in the second half of the conference lidlifter at Marshall on Wednesday night. UK got a game-tying goal from freshman Tyler Riggs and junior Sam Brooks netted the golden goal 51 seconds into overtime to lift UK to the win.

The Wildcats have been led in scoring by Riggs, who has three goals in his first 10 collegiate games. Brooks and freshman Ellis Vienne have each added two goals, while sophomores Jordan Rose and Matt Lodge have each added a goal and an assist. Senior Drew Midkiff leads the team with two assists, while Brooks, Cameron Wilder, Brad Walker, David Harrison, Craig Heard and Brendan Murphy have each contributed an assist. Midkiff leads the team with 17 shots, while Rose paces with club with eight shots on goal.

In goal, freshman Tyler Beadle has saved 33 shots in his first 10 collegiate games, allowing 13 goals for a 1.24 goals-against average, with three shutouts.

UAB (6-4-0, 0-2 C-USA) has suffered four losses on the year, with three coming at the hands of ranked teams. The Blazers are averaging 2.6 goals per game and 15.3 shots per game. UAB is coming off a 1-0 loss to Mercer on Wednesday night at West Campus Field.

Offensively, Babayele Sodade leads the UAB with six goals and one assist, while Anthony King has added five goals and three assists. Kofi Gyawu has charted five goals and one assist, while Gentry Smith has totaled three goals. Reed Matte and Flo Liu lead the Blazers with four assists each. In goal, UAB keeper Carl Woszcynski has allowed 12 goals in 10 games, saving 35 shots and owning a 1.26 goals-against average.
