LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky women’s tennis team concluded play Sunday at the Southeastern Conference Fall Coaches Classic, their first tournament of the 2010 fall season.
Sophomore Jessica Stiles and freshman Meredith Morrow were victorious on the tournament’s final day at the Yarborough Tennis Center in Auburn, Ala.
Stiles defeated Yvette Vlaar of LSU 6-2, 6-1. It was Stiles’ second victory in singles play of the tournament.
Morrow won her first collegiate match of her career with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Hayley Everett also of LSU.
The SEC Fall Coaches Classic, as with all tournaments in the fall, is only for individual records, and team results will not be calculated.
The Cats will play again in two weeks in the Roberta Allison Fall Classic in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
