LEXINGTON, Ky. – Fans will have the chance to see their first look at the 14th-ranked 2010 Kentucky volleyball team Sunday, Aug. 22 at 3 p.m. ET in the annual Blue/White match.

Admission is free to the event Sunday as coach Craig Skinner’s squad takes to the floor for the first time in the 2010 campaign. It will be the first chance UK’s fans will be able to have a glimpse of their team prior to the season beginning.

UK will open its season at the AVCA/Runza Showcase Aug. 28 and 29 in Omaha, Neb. Kentucky opens the year against No. 2 Nebraska on Aug. 28 at 5:30 p.m. ET. On the Aug. 29, Kentucky will take on ninth-ranked Iowa State.

UK’s first home contest will be on Sept. 1 against in-state rival Louisville.

The Wildcats are expected to play an intra-squad match Sunday, although coaches will have the opportunity to stop play at any time to teach and players may often switch teams.
