FORT WORTH — After day one of competition, the Kentucky rifle team sits in fourth place overall at the 2009-10 NCAA Championships, hosted on the Texas Christian University Campus at the TCU Rifle Range Friday.
Kentucky (8-3) shot a 2296 total team score in smallbore, with air rifle to be shot tomorrow. UK was led in smallbore by Tom Csenge (578), with Jen Pason (577), Ashley Jackson (574) and Ethan Settlemires rounding out the UK lineup. Csenge finished 14th overall in smallbore.
Alaska-Fairbanks led the way with a 2320 after day one, with TCU coming in second with a 2314 and defending NCAA champion West Virginia charting a 2308.
