PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — University of Kentucky men’s golf senior Ben Fuqua posted a final round UK tournament-low score of 3-over-par 75 as Kentucky finished 13th at the Jacksonville University Invitational on Tuesday.

Fuqua finished the tournament in a tie for 32nd, improving by four strokes on the final day. The native of Danville, Ky., had two birdies on the day and shot even-par on the front nine. The senior ends the tournament at 19-over-par with a final score of 235.

Freshman Chase Parker finished one stroke behind Fuqua at 20-over-par for the tournament after shooting a 6-over-par 78 in the final round. The top-35 finish for Parker is the second of his young career. The native of Augusta, Ga., posted a top-15 finish in the final tournament of the fall season.

Junior Brian Belden finished in the top 50 at the tournament, finishing tied for 42nd at the tournament with an overall score of 239. The native of Emmaus, Pa., posted one birdie in the final round, shooting an 8-over-par 80 in the final round.

Senior Jordan Blann and junior James Kania wrap up the scoring for Kentucky as Blann finished tied for 58th and Kania finished 73rd. Blann tied for the second-lowest round of the day for UK, tying Parker with an 8-over-par. Blann had four birdies in the final round.

The Wildcats will hit the course again on Feb. 21 at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate in Mobile, Ala.
