ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis battles Georgia Tech for the second time in seven days when it travels to Atlanta, Ga., Saturday. The dual match at the Bill Moore Tennis Center begins at 12 p.m. EST.
Kentucky (1-4) lost a 4-2 match to Georgia Tech (4-0) in a second-round meeting during the ITA Kickoff Weekend tournament, Sunday, Jan. 31.
The Wildcats moved up three spots to No. 31 according to ITA national rankings release on Feb. 4. Georgia Tech moved one slot to No. 9.
Sophomore Caroline Lilley (Portland, Ore.) and senior Christine Johnston (Columbus, Ohio) won singles matches over the Yellow Jackets for Kentucky’s two points last weekend. Georgia Tech won the doubles point and won at Nos. 1, 4, and 5 singles to secure the victory.
