• Kentucky improves to 16-3 overall, 4-2 in the Southeastern Conference. Auburn falls to 11-9 overall, 2-5 in the SEC.
• Kentucky’s 16 wins matches the total of victories for the Wildcats during the 2008-09 campaign (16-16).
• Kentucky has won three consecutive SEC games marking the longest SEC win streak since winning four in a row during the 2005-06 season.
• UK’s 18-point win over Auburn marks Kentucky’s largest margin of victory in the series since a 24-point win over the Tigers, 75-51, on March 3, 1995.
• Auburn leads the overall series 24-12, including a 10-5 mark in Lexington.
• Kentucky has won three of the last four meetings with Auburn.
• UK head coach Matthew Mitchell improves his career record to 79-64, including a 49-35 mark at UK. He is now 2-1 against Auburn.

Team Notes

• Key run: Kentucky built a 20-point lead with 3:56 left in the first half thanks to a 26-9 run over a span of 10:38. The Wildcats extended a 10-7 lead at 15:22 to 36-16 thanks in part to the play of A’dia Mathies. The freshman from Louisville scored all 11 of her game-high points during the run. Reserve forward Brittany Henderson added six points. The Wildcat defense caused headaches for Auburn, forcing nine of the Tigers’ 11 first half turnovers during the run.
• All 16 of Kentucky’s wins have been by double digits this season.
• UK limited Auburn to 38.0 percent shooting and has now held 18 of 19 opponents under 50 percent shooting from the floor this season.
• The Cats have held their opponents to 60 points or less in 14 of 19 contests.
• Kentucky forced Auburn into 25 turnovers, its most in an SEC game this season. The Wildcats have forced the opposition into 25 or more turnovers 12 times this season. UK foes have committed 20 or miscues 16 times this season. Five of UK’s six SEC opponents have committed 20 or more miscues.
• UK scored 30 points of Auburn’s 25 turnovers.

Individual Notes

• Freshman A’dia Mathies scored all of her game-high 11 points in the first half against the Tigers. She finished the game shooting 5-of-9 from the field with four rebounds and three steals. The Louisville native has scored in double figures in 13 games this season, including 11 or 13 home contests.
• Senior Amani Franklin scored 10 points to go with five rebounds and a career high-tying four steals. Franklin has scored in double figures six times on this season. She was perfect on the day with 3-of-3 shooting from the field and 4-of-4 shooting from the foul line.
• Senior Lydia Watkins scored 10 points on 4-of-9 shooting from the field and 2-of-4 shooting from the foul line to go along with three rebounds and two steals. It marks her fourth consecutive double-digit scoring effort. She is averaging 10.5 points during SEC play.
• Junior Victoria Dunlap finished the game with nine points, seven rebounds and two steals. Her double-digit scoring streak ends at 23 games. She has recorded at least one steal in 26 consecutive games. She has 960 career points and is on track to join the 1,000-point club this season.
• Junior guard Amber Smith scored nine points on 4-of-6 shooting. She is averaging 13.0 points during SEC play.
• Freshman Brittany Henderson came off the bench for seven points, the most by the freshman forward in an SEC game this season.
• Junior Carly Morrow has made at least one three-pointer in 14 of the last 17 games. She made two against Auburn to move her team-leading total to 29 on the season.
