LEXINGTON, Ky. — Led by a team-best 589 in air rifle from freshman Katie Fretts, the Kentucky rifle team posted a 4663-4581 win over Great American Rifle Conference foe Ole Miss, Saturday afternoon at UK’s Barker Hall.

Kentucky (7-3) got an outstanding performance from Fretts, who led UK in air gun with a 589. Seniors Tom Csenge and Ashley Jackson each added a 588 in air rifle, with Megan English rounding out the first team in air rifle with a 584.

In smallbore, UK got a good performance from Jackson who led the team with a 584, while senior Jen Pason totaled a 583 and Csenge charting a 574. Ethan Settlemires’ 573 in smallbore closed out UK’s performance on the first team.

Also, UK got another excellent outing from Logan Fox, who added a 581 in smallbore and a 589 in air rifle. Freshman Heather Greathouse totaled a 580 in both air rifle and smallbore, while Leslie Angeli finished with a 586 in air rifle and Pason totaling a 588 in air rifle.

Kentucky returns to action Sunday, Jan. 31, facing Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb.
