Well that didn’t take long.

Freshman sensation John Wall has long been considered one of the nation’s top players long before he signed with Kentucky, and it didn’t take him long to make his mark at UK.

In his first regular-season week as a Kentucky Wildcat, the freshman guard has been named ESPN’s National Player of the Week.

Wall has helped UK to a 4-0 start to begin the season, playing in three of those games. He’s averaging a gaudy 20.3 points and 7.3 assists per game.

Kentucky resumes play Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. ET vs. Cleveland State in the Cancun Challenge.
