LEXINGTON, Ky. – Both squads will enter the Sunday afternoon matchup after tallying impressive wins as the 11th-ranked Kentucky volleyball team earned a sweep of Georgia and Auburn upset Tennessee Friday night. Kentucky visits Auburn for a 2:30 p.m. ET matchup at the Student Activities Center to wrap up its final two match road swing of the regular season.

Kentucky (25-2, 15-1) powered its way to a sweep at Georgia Friday night behind a complete collective effort. Juniors Sarah Mendoza and Blaire Hiler struck for 12 and 10 kills respectively. Auburn pulled off an upset over Tennessee by taking the final three sets of a five-set match Friday.

UK had a pair of players achieve career milestones in the victory as Mendoza tossed down her 1,000th career kill. Senior BriAnne Sauer became just the second player in school history to amass over 1,500 digs in a career when she led the match with 24 scoops.

Senior setter Sarah Rumely needs 28 assists to break the all-time school assist record. Rumely entered the weekend needing 68 to tie the record and she posted 41 assists in the win over Georgia to inch closer to the record.

Auburn improved to 15-12 overall record and a 7-9 conference clip with the win over the Lady Vols. The Tigers are led by three players who average over 2.25 kills per set. Auburn uses a two-setter rotation with both setters registering over 450 assists for the season. Liz Crouch anchors the defensive unit with 4.06 digs per set.

In the first match-up of the season, Kentucky head coach Craig Skinner tallied his 100th career victory in a 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-11) UK sweep of Auburn. Kentucky defensively, registered nine blocks on the night led by sophomore Gretchen Giesler who matched a career-high effort with seven stuffs.
