LEXINGTON, Ky. — After tallying the top score recorded the NCAA last weekend, the Kentucky rifle team returns to action Saturday, hosting Jacksonville State at UK’s Barker Hall.

Kentucky posted a 4674 totaled team score last weekend at state rival Murray State, which marked the highest score recorded in collegiate rifle this season. UK’s win over MSU came after the Wildcats fell in their first regular-season loss in 359 days, suffering a defeat at TCU, the site of the 2009-10 NCAA Championships.

During the Murray State match, senior Ashley Jackson made history, tying the school-record with a 595 in air rifle and also finished with a team-best 582 in smallbore. In addition, freshman Katie Fretts totaled a 590 in air rifle.

The match will again offer the most comprehensive in-match scoring in collegiate rifle, featuring a live interactive blog available on UKathletics.com. Fans will also be to view the live scoring targets throughout the match.
