Lexington, KY – The Kentucky women’s basketball team is holding its fourth event in the “Drive for 5K” Saturday, Oct. 24 at Commonwealth Stadium. The UK Hoops coaching staff and players will be at the Cat Walk outside of Gate 1, starting at approximately 4:30 p.m. ET to give out season tickets forms and sell single-game tickets to the “Pack the House” game on Dec. 20 vs. intrastate rival Louisville.
The event is the fourth of five planned to help break the current season ticket record of 4,808 set in 2005-06. The entire season ticket campaign is called the “Drive for 5K.”
“We are excited about coming to Commonwealth Stadium on Saturday to promote our program,” UK Hoops Coach Matthew Mitchell said. “This is a great opportunity for us to meet more awesome Wildcat fans and offer them an opportunity to purchase season tickets and single-game tickets for the ‘Pack the House’ game vs. Louisville. It’s going to be an exciting year for UK Hoops and we hope everyone comes out to support us.”
Season tickets cost just $45 for 17 exciting home games in Memorial Coliseum , including eight contests against Southeastern Conference opponents and the “Pack the House” game against Louisville. . Single-game tickets for the rivalry game are just $5 each and can be purchased Saturday with cash only. The remaining single-game tickets go on sale for the general public Monday, Oct. 26.
Each ticket sold in advance will help UK “Pack the House” for the annual matchup with the Cardinals. Game time is 1:00 p.m. ET in Memorial Coliseum and the game will be televised on the Big Blue Sports Network and Fox Sports South. A special raffle drawing with great prizes also will take place on game day for the fans who purchased their game tickets during Saturday’s promotional sale.
If you can’t make it Commonwealth Stadium Saturday, another special opportunity for NEW women’s basketball season ticket holders is available while supplies last. With each season ticket purchase, fans can earn a FREE ticket to the men’s basketball Blue/White Scrimmage to be held Wed., Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. ET in Rupp Arena.
Fans may purchase women’s basketball season tickets online at www.ukathletics.com or by calling the UK Ticket Office at 1-800-928-2287. Both reserved and general admission seats are still available. Season tickets will be mailed at the end of October. Blue/White Scrimmage tickets will be held at Will Call for pick-up next Wednesday night at Rupp Arena. Will Call will open at 5:30 p.m., and a photo ID is needed to pick up tickets.
