LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky men’s basketball head coach John Calipari will never be out of reach.

Calipari has joined the latest Internet craze and created his own Twitter account. With the launch of Calipari’s official Twitter account, UKCoachCalipari, fans can receive instant updates, or “tweets,” directly from Coach Calipari on the Internet or on their mobile phone.

Fans can go to http://twitter.com/UKCoachCalipari to follow Coach Calipari’s Twitter account. Users must create an account to join. Once logged in, fans have the choice of following other users, and they can activate their mobile devices to receive “tweets” as other users, including Coach Calipari’s account, post them.

Twitter is a free service that lets users keep in touch with people through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?

Now if fans want to know what Coach Calipari is doing while they are at home, at work or on the go, he will be right at their fingertips.

There are many Twitter accounts and Facebook fan pages, groups dedicated to following UK Coach John Calipari, but the one listed above is the only Twitter entity that is officially sanctioned by the University of Kentucky Athletics Department and Coach John Calipari. Coach Calipari does not have a Facebook page at this time.
