Kentucky Men’s Golf In Second Place After 18, Winings Records Second Career Hole-In-One
The Kentucky men’s golf team is in second place after the first 18 of 36 holes today. They are in the season opener at the Jacksonville University Invitational on the TPC Sawgrass Valley Course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
Senior Andy Winings currently leads the entire 10-team field with a first-round five-under 67. Winings sank his second career hole-in-one on the 170-yard par three number two hole. Last year on March 16 at the Schenkel E-Z-Go Invational, Winings aced the 109-yard par-three sixth hole.
The Wildcats are in second place overall at six-over-par, just one stroke behind the tournament leader Stetson University.
