Fresh off a 90-72 win at Knoxville and Jodie Meeks’ record setting performance, the Wildcats hit the road again, traveling to Georgia where they’ll look to remain perfect in the SEC. The game will be televised regionally on Raycom.
Meeks led all scorers, and the UK basketball program for that matter, with a school record 54 points against Tennessee. The 6-4 junior was 15-22 from the field, including a school record 10-15 behind the three-point line and a perfect 14-14 from the free throw line. Meeks also pulled down eight rebounds, while dishing out four assists. Patrick Patterson recorded a game-high 12 rebounds and Michael Porter added a game-high six assists.
As a team, the Wildcats shot a blistering 63.2 percent from three-point range, and 90 percent from the free throw line.
