LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky gymnastics team was ranked No. 25 in the recent preseason coaches’ polls. All seven Southeastern Conference schools ranked in the top-25 with Georgia topping the list at No. 1 with 814 points and 26 first-place votes.

 

The Wildcats will face eight of those teams in the preseason rankings, including the six conference opponents, No. 1 Georgia, No. 3 Florida, No. 6 Alabama, No. 7 LSU, No. 12 Arkansas and No. 15 Auburn. Also in that list are No. 16 Illinois and No. 23 West Virginia.

 

Kentucky will hold their annual Blue/White scrimmage on Sat. Dec. 13, 2008, in Memorial Coliseum. The team, which only lost three letter winners and returns 11 gymnasts with three newcomers, kicks off their twelve meet season with Excite Night on Jan. 10th at 5:45 p.m. ET against Utah State.

Reserved tickets for Gymnastics events are $5.00 each, regardless of age. General Admission tickets are $5.00 for adults, $2.00 for Seniors and Youth. Tickets can be purchased by calling the ticket office at 1-800-928-2287. Tickets are also sold at the Joe Craft Center Ticket Office on the night of the event. Group tickets (20+ people) are available by calling the ticket office in advance of the event.

 and return it to the UK Ticket Office to reserve your UK Gymnastics season tickets today!  All new season tickets will be assigned in December after the renewal period.  The season ticket renewal deadline for current season ticket holders is Tuesday, December 9.  You can renew your seats online by logging into My UK Account, or you can renew by phone or mail.  Season tickets will be mailed in late December.
