Kentucky won its fifth-straight game and is now 5-2 on the season. Lamar sustains its first loss of the season and is now 5-1.

UK is now 5-1 all-time against the current membership of the Southland Conference. UK is now 28-5 all-time against teams from the state of Texas .
Tonight marked the third-straight game that UK knocked off an undefeated team, as Kansas State and West Virginia also were unbeaten before crossing the Cats’ path.
Coming off the championship of the Las Vegas Invitational, Kentucky began a stretch of eight games that features seven home contests, plus the game vs. Appalachian State in Louisville .
Kentucky returns to action against Miami ( Fla. ) on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. The game will be televised by ESPN.

Kentucky used the starting lineup of Michael Porter, Jodie Meeks, Ramon Harris, Perry Stevenson and Patrick Patterson for the sixth time in seven games this season.
UK lost the opening tip for the first time this season.
Jodie Meeks opened the game with a three-pointer on UK ‘s first possession and the Wildcats quickly pulled away.
Ramon Harris’ missed foul shot at the 13:58 mark ended a streak of 18 consecutive free throws made by the Wildcats.
The game was delayed at the 13:42 mark when Ramon Harris and Michael Porter collided and were injured.
Porter sustained a cut over his left eye which required 10 stitches. He returned to the bench by the end of the first half.
Harris left the court on a stretcher and was taken to UK Chandler Hospital. He was alert, had movement in his arms and legs and was undergoing tests.
Kevin Galloway tallied his first points as a Wildcat with a pair of free throws with 7:08 on the clock.
Kentucky had runs of five, six, six, six, eight and eight points in building a 29-poiint lead, its largest of the half, at 49-20.
The Wildcats went to halftime ahead 56-30.
UK extended its streak of 680 consecutive games making a three-pointer.

Ahead 59-37, the Wildcats went on a 21-0 run for an 80-37 advantage.
Kentucky led by as many as 46 points at 91-45 and 101-55, UK ‘s largest differential of the season.

Entering the game as the SEC leader in field-goal percentage, Kentucky shot a sizzling 64.4 percent from the field.
UK made half of its three-pointers, 7 of 14.
Kentucky was especially productive in taking advantage of Lamar’s turnovers. UK scored 35 points off 18 Cardinal miscues.
UK limited Lamar to 33.8 percent from the field. No opponent has shot better than 37 percent during the Wildcats’ current five-game win streak.
The last time Kentucky scored 100 points twice in a season was 2003-04.

Patrick Patterson led all scorers with a career-high 31 points, making 11 of 12 from the field and 9 of 11 at the charity stripe.
Freshman DeAndre Liggins had a perfect shooting night, making all six from the field, both three-point attempts, and a pair of foul shots for a season-high 16 points. Liggins also added seven rebounds and five assists.
In addition to scoring his first points at Kentucky , Kevin Galloway tallied five assists.
