In a game of runs, the Wildcats found back from a nine point first-half deficit and withstood a furious Kansas State charge to claim a 74-72 win over KSU to advance to the Las Vegas Invitational Championship game.
Jodie Meeks had another offensive explosion, going for a game high 37 points while pulling down six rebounds and registering two assists.
Patrick Patterson recorded his second straight double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. It was his third double-double of the season and the ninth of his career.
The Wildcats shot a season high 69 percent from the field, including 63 percent from three-point range, while holding Kansas State to 36 percent.
