LEXINGTON, Ky. – Senior cornerback David Jones and junior center Jorge Gonzalez will be the game captains for Saturday’s game at Tennessee, Coach Rich Brooks has announced.

Game captains are normally selected on the basis of performance in the previous game. In UK’s game against Vanderbilt, Jones returned a blocked field goal 57 yards for a touchdown and also provided excellent pass coverage. It is the third time in the last four games that Jones has earned the game-captain role. Gonzalez played one of his best games at center vs. the Commodores; for the season, the UK offensive line ranks third in the nation in fewest tackles for loss allowed and seventh in the nation in fewest quarterback sacks allowed.

Jones and Gonzalez will join permanent captains Tony Dixon and Braxton Kelley at the pregame coin toss.
