LEXINGTON, Ky. – Defensive end Jeremy Jarmon will undergo arthroscopic surgery on Tuesday in order to correct a cartilage tear in his right knee, Coach Rich Brooks has announced.

Brooks said that it was very doubtful that Jarmon will play against Tennessee on Nov. 29. The injury was sustained during Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt. Jarmon, a junior from Collierville, Tenn., has 33 tackles this season, including nine tackles for loss and 3.5 quarterback sacks. He also has five pass breakups and has caused two fumbles.

Two other Wildcats incurred significant injuries against the Commodores. Senior free safety Marcus McClinton sustained a laceration on his leg which required stitches. Sophomore Ricky Lumpkin, the team’s top reserve at defensive tackle, had a high-ankle sprain. Both players are unlikely to play at Tennessee, Brooks said.

McClinton has 43 tackles this season and is tied for the team lead in interceptions with four. Lumpkin has 17 tackles, including 3.5 for loss and one quarterback sack.

Tennessee Game Selected by ESPN2: Kentucky’s regular-season finale at Tennessee on Nov. 29 has been selected for live national telecast on ESPN2, the Southeastern Conference has announced. Game time will be 6:30 p.m.

The game will represent Kentucky’s eighth live national or regional telecast of the season, in addition to Louisville (ESPN), Alabama (CBS), Arkansas (ESPNU), Vanderbilt (ESPN2) and South Carolina, Florida and Georgia (Raycom).
