LEXINGTON, Ky. – Fans purchasing Kentucky women’s basketball season tickets for the 2008-09 will receive a new UK Hoops key chain rewards card from the Kentucky marketing department. The card offers rewards throughout the season, including discounts on concessions, access to an exclusive promotional items, or discounts with a local sponsor for each game.

“We wanted to do something to reward our loyal fan base,” UK Hoops Marketing Director Nathan Schwake said. “We have ranked in the top 25 in average attendance for five consecutive years and we want to give back to the best fans in the country, Kentucky fans. The cards for our season ticket holders are designed to fit their key chains for easy access and they can display them when redeeming their reward.”

The UK Hoops cards will be available for pickup during the first three home games in Memorial Coliseum — Nov. 15 vs. Michigan, Nov. 17 vs. Cincinnati and Nov. 23 vs. George Washington. A special table will be set up on both concourses for season ticket holders to receive their card.

A complete schedule of the rewards will be posted on the women’s basketball page at UKathletics.com during the week of the season opener.

“The UK Hoops Card is a great way for our fans to identify themselves in the community as they display their card to redeem these great rewards throughout the season,” UK Hoops Coach Matthew Mitchell said. “We have the best fans in the country and we can’t thank them enough for their unwavering support each season.”
