LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Arkansas at Kentucky football game on Oct. 18 has been confirmed for a start time of 7 p.m. Television plans are being determined and will be announced when finalized.

Practice Report: The Kentucky football team opened on-field preparations for the South Carolina game with a two-hour practice Tuesday morning at the Nutter Training Facility.

Following the workout, Coach Rich Brooks announced that the three players with high-ankle sprains — defensive tackle Ricky Lumpkin, middle linebacker Micah Johnson and quarterback/wide receiver Randall Cobb — all practiced “pretty hard and looked OK, not great, but OK,” according to the coach.

Brooks also announced that wide receiver DeMoreo Ford is out with his sternum/clavicle injury and that linebacker Michael Schwindel is out with a shoulder injury. The coach is hopeful that offensive guard Jess Beets (bruised knee) will return to practice on Wednesday.

Lindley, Nance are Game Captains: Cornerback Trevard Lindley and fullback A.J. Nance are the game captains for Saturday’s contest vs. South Carolina, Coach Rich Brooks has announced.

Captains are normally selected on the basis of performance in the previous game. In UK’s game at Alabama, Lindley had three pass breakups, giving him a school career record of 29. Nance had one tackle on special teams, where he has been a consistently solid performer.

Lindley and Nance will join permanent captains Tony Dixon and Braxton Kelley at the pregame coin toss.
