What’s the most interesting thing you did this summer?
Studied abroad for two weeks in Belize where I was able to learn about tropical biology in the rain forest and coral reef.
Who are some heroes in your life?
Steph. She is a high school peer of mine with physical and mental challenges. She is always so positive, determined, and kindhearted despite her challenges every minute.
Describe an event that helped shape you as a person.
Tearing my ACL, MCL and meniscus in the state championship in the last eight minutes of my senior year. That game truly helped me to appreciate how much I have been blessed physically. I had to learn to walk, run, and jump again which made me be thankful for each time I am able to step on the field.
Have any of your family members won any significant awards?
My brother, Tyler, received the Otis A. Singletary scholarship from UK.
What’s your definition of a true hero?
Someone who has courage, selflessness, and just does something because it’s the right thing to do despite their own personal risks.
