LEXINGTON, Ky. ? The University of Kentucky volleyball team will take to the road for the second consecutive weekend for spring play, as the Wildcats visit traditional power-house Nebraska in Lincoln, Saturday.

Kentucky has played extremely well in the spring rattling off five victories, including a perfect 4-0 tournament in Indianapolis a week ago.

The Wildcats earned four victories, including a tournament win over Pittsburgh in the final game of play. UK used pool bracket play where they earned wins over Valparaiso, Purdue and Bowling Green before meeting Pittsburgh in the championship match.

Rising junior Sarah Rumely enjoyed an impressive outing registering 124 assists, 16 kills and a team-leading nine solo blocks. Returning All-American Queen Nzenwa added 26 kills, and six solo put-backs. Rising sophomores Lauren Rapp and Sarah Mendoza combined to contribute 51 kills and nine blocks.

Kentucky?s match against Nebraska this weekend will serve as the Cornhuskers only home spring match of the season. The Huskers return three starters from a team that went 30-2 and won the Big 12 title in 2007. Two-time All-American Jordan Larson headlines the returning players a potent Nebraska lineup.

?It?s a great opportunity to play against one of the most storied programs in the country,? said Kentucky Head Coach Craig Skinner. ?We have been training very hard this spring and look forward to the challenge.?
