LEXINGTON ? Ky. ? After finishing the regular-season with a fourth-place finish in the Southeastern Conference, a 15-15 overall record, and an 8-6 mark in league play, the Kentucky women?s basketball team has its sights set on earning a school-record fourth consecutive appearance in the postseason whether it be in the NCAA Tournament or Women?s Invitational Tournament (WNIT).
The unveiling of the 64-team field for the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship is set for Monday, March 17 at 7 p.m. EST on ESPN.
The WNIT will announce its full 48-team field on its website (womensnit.com) Monday, March 17 by midnight ET.
2008 Women’s NCAA Tournament Ticket Information:
UK Hoops season ticket holders have until 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 18 to submit their order for the NCAA first and second round games. Participating schools receive a limited quantity of tickets from the NCAA. Thus, orders are NOT guaranteed. The UK ticket office will notify via e-mail or phone if allocated tickets, and when they will be available for pick up.
2008 WNIT Ticket Information:
The Wildcats have placed a bid to host the first four rounds of the 2008 WNIT at Memorial Coliseum. If Kentucky is selected as a host site, the following ticket information would apply to UK Hoops season ticket holders:
UK Hoops season ticket holders will have priority to reserve their same seat locations for the WNIT until 4 p.m. on Monday, March 17. Everyone must have a ticket, regardless of age. Season ticket holders can order tickets for Rounds 1-4 of the WNIT; however, fans will only be charged in the event the Wildcats advance AND host the next round.
