ATHENS, Ga. ? Kentucky?s visit to Athens ended in defeat against the No. 1 Georgia Gym Dogs, 197.675-194.800. The score for the top Dogs was a team high for the season.

In their first event of the evening, vault, the Cats scored a team high score of 49.025. Sophomore Emily Green took team top honors with a 9.875. Freshman Andrea Mitchell stuck a 9.825, a new career high.

Sophomore Emilie Rymer swung a career high of 9.875 on bars, the second rotation of the meet. Also nailing career highs on the uneven bars were senior Crissy Cannon with a 9.825 and sophomore Hillary Ferguson with a 9.800.

Junior Heather Hite earned second place overall on the balance beam, landing a 9.825, just short of Georgia?s Courtney McCool?s 9.925.

On floor, the team scored a new season high of 49.175. Ferguson earned a personal season high for the second week in a row and tied her career high, landing a 9.925. The sophomore?s score also tied her for second in the event with Gym Dog Cassidy McComb. Green and Mitchell hit 9.875 and 9.700, respectively, winning them new career best scores.

All three Wildcats who participated in the all-around, Rymer, Green, and Ferguson, notched 39.150?s for a three way tie for third place overall. Georgia took the top two spots with a 39.550 and 39.525, tallied by McComb and Tiffany Tolnay, respectively.

Kentucky will return home for their next meet, the Pink Meet, against the No. 11 Nebraska Huskers. The Wildcats? Pink Meet, which will benefit the Markey Cancer Society, is scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. (ET) in Lexington, Ky. at Memorial Coliseum.
