LEXINGTON, Ky. ? Junior Kentucky golfer Mallory Blackwelder (Versailles, Ky.) recorded her second consecutive top-10 individual finish of the season Monday to pace the No. 23 Wildcats to a fourth-place finish at the Lady Wildcat Fall Invitational, hosted by the University of Kentucky at the school?s University Club.

The Wildcats recorded their first top-four finish since the John Kirk/Lady Panther Invitational in the 2005-06 season by carding a three-round total of 910 (301-305-304). The Cats finished in fourth place among a field that included five teams in the GolfWeek Top 50.

No. 19 Alabama claimed the tournament?s team title after firing a three-round total of 877 (292-290-295). No. 5 Florida finished second (885), while Arkansas was third (898). Alabama?s Courtney Harter captured the tournament?s individual crown with a 3-under-par 213 (67-71-75).

Blackwelder recorded her fifth career top-10 finish and her second this season by tying for sixth place with a 6-over-par 222 (70-78-74). She rebounded from a difficult second round to post a 74 on the final day of play.

Freshman Louise Ljungstedt (Lidingo, Sweden) concluded play in 22nd place with a three-round mark of 228 (73-78-77) to finish 12-over-par. Sophomore Erica Still (Waycross, Ga.) and freshman Paige Lausier (Ocala, Fla.), competing as an individual, each finished in a tie for 30th place with scores of 233.

Seniors Elizabeth Dotson (White Bluff, Tenn.) and Beth Felts (Chattanooga, Tenn.) both finished in a tie for 35th place with scores of 235. Playing as an individual, Kristin Vincent (Burlington, N.C.) concluded play tied for 42nd with a 237 (77-78-82).

Kentucky returns to action this weekend when it travels to Chapel Hill, N.C., to participate in the Tar Heel Invitational. Opening round play begins on Friday.
