LEXINGTON, Ky. ? Fresh off a four goal victory on Friday over Bowling Green, the Kentucky women?s soccer team hosts another Mid-American Conference opponent, Ohio, in Sunday afternoon action at the UK Soccer Complex.
The Wildcats are currently on a seven-game unbeaten streak at home, dating back to last season, going 6-0-1 during that stretch with the tie coming against then 16th ranked Florida last season.
Kentucky is 2-0-0 all-time against Ohio, but the two programs have not met on the soccer pitch since the 2000 season, a 4-0 result in favor of the Wildcats.
In addition to their unbeaten home streak, UK will be putting its perfect record against the MAC on the line. Kentucky heads into the match with a 7-0-0 mark against schools representing the MAC, including Friday night?s victory over Bowling Green.
Kickoff between the Wildcats and Bobcats is scheduled for noon. The Kentucky men?s soccer team will take on the Cleveland State Vikings at the conclusion of the women?s match. Free UK women?s soccer t-shirts will be given out to the first 100 fans while the first 500 fans will receive free 2007 UK women?s soccer schedule magnets.
