The 14th annual Governor?s Cup Luncheon was held on Thursday afternoon at the Cardinal Club in Simpsonville, Ky. The annual luncheon involved comments from both Kentucky head football coach Rich Brooks and Louisville head football coach Steve Kragthorpe, comments from special guests, and a round of golf. Kentucky?s two special guests were former NFL defensive end Jeff Van Note and former head coach Fran Curci. Louisville?s honorees included former head coach and current ESPN college football commentator, Lee Corso. Kentucky and Louisville square off in the annual rivalry game on Saturday, September 15 at Commonwealth Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET and can be seen on ESPN Classic, WHAS-TV in Louisville, and WKYT-TV in Lexington.
