LEXINGTON, Ky. ? Kentucky rising senior Brad Doster has been named a Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches of America Association. Doster is one of thirty Division I and II student-athletes to earn the honor.
Juniors and seniors with a 3.2 minimum cumulative grade-point average are eligible to be a Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar. In addition, athletes must obtain under a 76.0 stroke average for Division I, under a 78.0 for Division II and under 79.0 for Division III.
Doster led the team this season with three top-10 finishes including a third place effort at the Topy Cup in Tanagura, Japan. The 2006 All-SEC selection was second on the team during his junior campaign with a 74.15 stroke average in nine tournaments. The Winter Park, Fla., native carded a season-low round of 67 in the second day of play at the Topy Cup.
Doster and the Wildcats will kick off the 2007-08 season on Sept. 10-11 when they travel to Toledo, Ohio, for the Inverness Intercollegiate Invitational.
