KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – For the first time in the 41-year history of the Sea Ray Relays hosted by the University of Tennessee, the majority of the final day of competition was cancelled Saturday due to rain-soaked conditions and lightning in the vicinity of the Tom Black Track.
The event, which commenced at 9:15 a.m. EDT, was halted at 2:22 p.m. EDT due to inclement weather. The decision was made at 2:46 p.m. EDT to cancel the remainder of the Relays.
Kentucky returns to action April 20-21 when split squads travel to Eugene, Ore., for the Oregon Invitational and San Diego for the Titan Invitational.
