The Kentucky football team reached the midpoint of spring practice by holding the eighth of 15 allotted workouts on Monday.
The Wildcats spent two hours, 15 minutes in full pads at the Nutter Training Facility, going through both small-group drills and team periods.
Two more players returned to practice on Monday. Senior tailback Rafael Little, returning from arthroscopic knee surgery, participated in a few plays and seemed to have his normal speed and maneuverability. Coach Rich Brooks said that Little would see more action on Wednesday if his knee responded well to today?s activity. Sophomore offensive guard Sefo Blaylock, returning from suspension, also participated in practice.
Senior linebacker Wesley Woodyard sustained a hamstring strain during practice but it did not appear to be serious. Brooks also announced that offensive guard Jess Beets, who has been sidelined with a knee injury, will have arthroscopic surgery to repair cartilage.
Kentucky returns to practice Wednesday morning. Spring practice wraps up with the Blue/White Spring Game on Sat. April 21 at 1 p.m.
