The Kentucky football team practiced for two hours, 15 minutes in chilly, breezy conditions Friday morning at the Nutter Training Facility. The Wildcats practiced in full pads, with extensive 11-on-11 periods, including work with the two-minute drill.

Kentucky returns to practice Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Nutter Training Facility. The team is expected to begin scrimmaging at approximately 10:30. There is no defined ending time.

Coach Rich Brooks has indicated that Saturday?s scrimmage might not be as long as usual because of the limited number of offensive linemen available. There was some good news in that area on Friday. Junior-college transfer Josh Winchell, who has been dealing with a knee injury, returned to practice. Senior center Eric Scott, who incurred a hyperextended elbow on Monday, practiced on a limited basis. Brooks also said that sophomore offensive tackle Zach Hennis has been doing some work in practice and might see more extensive action next week.

Logan Dismissed From Team: Senior wide receiver John Logan has been dismissed from the team for violation of team rules.

Logan played in 13 games during his Kentucky career. He caught one pass and had six kickoff returns as a Wildcat, all coming during the 2004 season.

Spring Football Calendar: Practices are open to the media and public and are held at Nutter Training Facility unless noted otherwise. Practices may be moved indoors to the Nutter Field House in case of bad weather.
