Kentucky junior center Randolph Morris has been selected to the United States Basketball Writers? Association District IV All-District team as announced by the organization this afternoon.

Morris ranks third in the SEC in field goal percentage (.588), seventh in rebounding (7.3 rpg) and eighth in scoring (15.3 ppg) leading the Wildcats in all three categories.

The selections were based on voting from the association’s national membership. There are nine regions from coast to coast and a player and coach of the year are selected in each.

The Wildcats open their 2007 postseason schedule on Thursday against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the first round of the SEC Tournament in Atlanta. The game will be televised on Lincoln Financial with a 1:00 p.m. ET scheduled tip.
