DESTIN, Fla.— The University of Kentucky women’s golf team used a fantastic final round to edge Miami for eighth place at the Chrysler Challenge on Monday.

?We got better and improved everyday,? said Coach Stephanie Barker. ?I think by the final day we really managed the course better. As we continue to play in tournaments, we improve each and every round.?

Freshman Erica Still paced the Blue and White for the third time this season, tying for 19th with a 23-over-par. After struggling in the first round, the Waycross, Ga., native fired back with rounds of 73 and 75 over the next two rounds.

?I?m really proud of Erica for bouncing back after a rough start,? said Barker. ?She finished really strong a really tough course. It?s a tight course, and really takes a lot of focus. She did a great job the last two days.?

Junior Beth Felts tied for 35th, carding a 31-over-par. Seniors Marissa Muir and Katie Johnson finished 39th and tied for 40th, respectively. Junior Elizabeth Dotson rounded out the scoring for UK with a tie for 51st.
