LEXINGTON ? Following a season high score this past Friday against No. 12 LSU, the Kentucky gymnastics moved up two spots to No. 22 when the GymInfo rankings were released Monday.

The Wildcats have now been ranked in the top 25 for 22 consecutive weeks dating back to the 2005 season.

Kentucky is ranked in the top 20 nationally on three events, vault, uneven bars and the balance beam. The Wildcats best event has been vault, where they are ranked 20th with a 48.765 average. On bars, UK holds down the 24th slot with a 48.450 average. The team?s 48.210 average on the balance beam ranks 25th in the country.

The Wildcats return to action this Friday when they travel to Gainesville Fla., to face top-ranked Florida. It will be UK?s second contest against a No. 1 opponent this year, having fallen to then-No. 1 Georgia in its season opener.
