WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind?Senior Peter Bjork picked up his first win of the spring season in the Blue and White on day two of the individual flighted draw at the Boilermaker Invitational on Sunday.

Kentucky participated in exhibition matches against the host Purdue Boilermakers in the second day of competition. Bjork needed only two sets to defeat Branko Kuzmanovic, 6-3, 6-4.

Junior Marcus Sundh made things interesting in his two set loss to Paul Rose. The Stockholm, Sweden, native forced a 7-6 (8-6) opening set, and then kept things close in the second set before falling 7-6 (7-0).

The Wildcats are playing without two of their top players in sophomore Bruno Agostinelli and junior Will Ward. The duo will make their spring debut at the SEC Indoor tournament later this month.

Kentucky returns to action Monday, at 9 a.m. for the final day of competition. The Wildcats will face New Mexico in a 1-6 singles format and 1-3 doubles. Results can be found at www.ukathletics.com.
