Seven Kentucky Wildcats, wide receiver Keenan Burton, tight end Jacob Tamme, quarterback Andre? Woodson, linebacker Wesley Woodyard, linebacker Braxton Kelley, cornerback Trevard Lindley, and defensive end Jeremy Jarmon, received various honors from the website CollegeFootballNews.com.

Burton and Tamme were named to the CFN All-Southeastern Conference Team (only a first team selected, no second team). Burton caught 72 passes for 1,006 yards and 12 touchdowns this year and also led the SEC in all-purpose yardage. Tamme led the league?s tight ends in pass receptions with 28 catches for 327 yards and one TD.

Burton, Woodson, and Woodyard were on CFN?s list of the top 30 players in the SEC, regardless of position, with Woodson coming in at No. 10, Burton at No. 14, and Woodyard at No. 25. Woodson led the league in passing yardage, total offense, and touchdown passes. Woodyard was second in the league in tackles with 110 stops. Individual position rankings had Woodson as the No. 2 quarterback in the SEC, Burton the No. 2 wide receiver, and Woodyard as the No. 4 linebacker.

Kelley was an honorable-mention pick on CFN?s Sophomore All-America Team. Kelley was second on the team in tackles with 80 stops.

Lindley and Jarmon were on the CFN Freshman All-America Team, Lindley as a third-team choice and Jarmon as an honorable mention. Lindley totaled 50 tackles this season, along with one interception, and was third in the SEC in pass breakups with 12. Jarmon made 28 tackles, with 5.5 tackles for loss, including three quarterback sacks.

Kentucky also got mentioned in one of the team honors. Arkansas was selected as the ?biggest surprise? in the league, but also noted that, ?Kentucky is a close second.?
