LEXINGTON, Ky. -Playing conditions were perfect for the final round of the Wildcat Fall Invitational held at the University Club’s Big Blue Course, a welcomed change from yesterday’s miserable winds and rain. Memphis used a final day comeback to edge Augusta State for the tournament team crown. Kentucky concluded the final round in 13th place.

Heading into the final day of action, Louisville held a one-stroke advantage over Memphis and N.C. State, but the Tigers put together an impressive 298 third round to take home the win. Augusta State began the day five shots off the lead and enjoyed a great final round to edge the Wolfpack for second place. N.C. State earned third place, and Louisville fell to fourth.

Mississippi State’s Amanda Mathis claimed the individual crown by a single stroke a nine-over-par 225. Mathis earned a second place finish in last season’s tournament. She edged Louisville’s Adrienne White and N.C. State’s Lauren Doughtie who tied for second place.

Kentucky placed 13th after beginning the day tied for 11th with Richmond. Freshman Erica Still topped the Cats in scoring for the second time in three tournaments. The Waycross, Ga. native tied for 16th, the best finish of her young career. Still fired a three day total 237 (+21) and her second round 75 was the best of the three. Junior Beth Felts fired a third round 76 and finished one stroke off of Still’s total good for a tie for 21st.
